Core Wireless Licensing (CWL) [NPE] filed suit against Apple, alleging that Apple’s iPhones and iPads infringe eight patents related to 3GPP Standards for wireless communications.  This is the first patent infringement suit filed by CWL, a wholly owned subsidiary of MOSAID.  The patents-in-suit originated with Nokia before being assigned to CWL in August 2011.  2/29, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2012cv00100.
