Technology Licensing Corporation (TLC) [NPE] filed suit against JVC, alleging that JVC’s DVD players, HD monitors, video projectors, and camcorders infringe four patents related to the synchronization of video signals. TLC has filed over 25 suits since 2001, often with co-plaintiff IP Innovation [NPE], against defendants including Apple, Dell, Google, LG, Samsung, and Sony. On its website, TLC claims to own over 60 issued patents and to have generated over $100 million in licensing revenues.
