Implicit Network Files New Suit Against HP

Implicit Networks, Inc. has filed a new suit against HP (3:12-cv-00685), alleging that HP’s Apache-based web servers infringe a patent related to delivering applets to client computers. Although this litigation is the first involving the newly issued patent-in-suit (8,056,075), the ‘075 patent is part of a family of related patents (7,774,740; 6,976,248; 6,324,685, the “Application Server Patents”) that have been asserted by Implicit Networks in four prior suits against multiple high tech defendants, including Adobe, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, and SAP.
