PanoMap Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Apple and Google, alleging that Apple’s portable music devices, mobile phones, and tablets that use Google’s map application infringe a patent related to synchronized map displays.  This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by PanoMap.  The patent-in-suit was assigned by the inventor to Empire IP in October 2011 before being assigned to PanoMap in February 2012.  2/24, Middle District of Florida, 6:2012cv00308.
