Chipotle Mexican Grill filed an action for declaratory judgment against Maxim Integrated Products [NCE] over four patents related to secure information modules. Chipotle says it received a letter (and claim charts) from Maxim alleging that the company’s mobile ordering application of infringes the four patents-in-suit. Since January 2012, Maxim has filed suit against Bank of the West, Capital One, Expedia, and First United Bank for alleged patent infringement of the defendants’ mobile application.
