ArrivalStar [NPE] and Melvino Technologies [NPE] filed five separate suits against BrightSky, Cypress Solutions, Datalink Systems, IntelligentOne Technologies, Preston Systems, SecuraCom GPS, USGlobalSat, and Xnnovation Canada, alleging that the defendants’ tracking services infringe seven patents related GPS notification and vehicle monitoring.  Since 2006, ArrivalStar has filed more than 100 patent suits against over 200 defendants.  Martin Kelly Jones is the named inventor on the patent-in-suit and ArrivalStar’s founder and CEO.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to Melvino Technologies in February 2010. 2/3, Northern District of Illinois, 1:2012cv00773; 1:2012cv00774; 1:2012cv00775; 1:2012cv00776; 1:2012cv00777.
