St. Clair Intellectual Property Consultants [NPE] filed suit against Samsung, alleging that Samsung’s smartphones, tablets, and netbooks using the Android operating system infringe six patents related to power management for electronic devices.  St. Clair originally filed suit against Samsung on December 30, 2011, but voluntarily dismissed the case and refiled the current suit.  St. Clair has filed over 15 prior suits since September 2002 against over 80 defendants including Acer, Apple, AT&T, Dell, Google, HP, HTC, Intel, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, Motorola Mobility, Nokia, Olympus, Palm, Panasonic, RIM, Sanyo, Samsung, and Toshiba.  Henry Fung is the named inventor on the patents-in-suit as well as the President and CEO of Amphus. The patents were assigned to St. Clair in June 2000.  1/20, District of Delaware, 1:2012cv00058.
