NPE Sues Esker

December 29, 2011

Content Extraction and Transmission (CET) [NPE] filed suit against Esker.  The complaint is currently unavailable.  CET has filed three prior suits since November 2011, alleging that the defendants’ electronic document systems infringe seven patents related to an application program interface that enables users to extract and transmit data.  The patents in those suits have been assigned to various entities (Millennium L.P., Eon-Net, and Glory Licensing) established by Mitchell Medina, one of the inventors.  Medina has filed more than 120 lawsuits since 1996 through several patent holding entities.  12/27, Southern District of New York, 1:2011cv09548.
