Vasudevan Software [NPE] filed two separate suits against MicroStrategy, Spotfire, and TIBCO Software, alleging that the defendants’ Spotfire Analytics software infringes a patent related to multimedia inspection database systems for dynamic run-time data evaluation.  Vasudevan filed one prior suit in April 2009 against IBM and Oracle.  Sandosh Vasudevan is the named inventor on the patent-in-suit which, according to the complaint, received a reexamination certificate confirming the patentability of all claims in January 2009.  12/23, Northern District of California, 3:2011cv06637; 3:2011cv06638.
