Promotional Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Facebook and Zynga, alleging that the defendants’ social gaming software infringes a patent related to management of web site promotions.  This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Promotional Technologies.  The patent-in-suit was issued to an individual inventor in 2004.  12/15, Northern District of Texas, 3:2011cv03488.
