VoiceFill [NPE] filed suit against West Interactive, alleging that West’s software that telephonically determines satisfaction for loan applications infringes a patent related to speech recognition software that is used to generate documents.  This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by VoiceFill.  Kenneth Barash is the named inventor on the patent-in-suit, which originated with Voice Tech Systems before being assigned to VoiceFill in April 2011. According to the complaint, Kenneth Barash is the founder of Vast, Inc., which entered into an agreement with NetByTel to develop and commercialize several voice to text applications.  12/9, District of Nevada, 8:2011cv00421.
