Advanced Video Technologies (AVT) [NPE] filed suit against RIM, alleging that RIM’s Blackberry devices infringe a patent related to video capture on mobile devices.  AVT has filed six prior suits against over 10 defendants including Audiovox, Casio, and HTC.  The USPTO awarded a reexamination certificate for the patent-in-suit in 2008.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to AVC Technology, Epogy Communications, and J.
