July 14, 2011- Research firm IDC released second quarter 2011 US PC market share results.  The top five vendors (by total shipments) are HP with 26.3% share,  Dell with 22.2%,  Apple 10.7%, Toshiba 9.1% and Acer with 8.5%.  Apple’s second quarter shipments increased 14.7% from the year before and Acer’s dropped 25.4% from 2010.
