Walker Digital Sues Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo over Newly Issued Patent

Walker Digital [NPE] filed five separate suits against Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Vibrant Media, and Yahoo over a patent related user-preference based presentation of HTML pages through URL reference links.  The patent-in-suit was issued on October 18, 2011, the same day these suits were filed.  Walker Digital, which formed a strategic partnership with IP Navigation in January 2011, hold over 500 issued and pending patents.  Since October 2009, Walker Digital has filed over 30 patent infringement suits against more than 150 unique defendants.  In July 2011, Bloomberg reported that Apple and Groupon settled with Walker Digital for $25 million combined over patents related to online commerce and marketing.  10/18, District of Delaware, 1:2011cv00989; 1:2011cv00990; 1:2011cv00991; 1:2011cv00992; 1:2011cv00993.
