September 23, 2011 – The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reversed a lower court determination that claims of a patent found to be infringed by Amazon were not invalid. The Federal Circuit ruled that the claims were invalid due to anticipation. The asserted claims relate to one-click purchases and customer feedback mechanisms. The original complaint was filed in 2006 by Cordance Corporation, a patent holder and software developer.
