September 22, 2011 – Wistron Corporation and Intellectual Ventures (IV) announced that they have entered into a license agreement. According to Venture Outsource, Wistron is the third-largest notebook computer original design manufacturer (ODM) company with a market share of 14-15% in 2010.  Hon Hai, Quanta, and Compal are Wistron competitors. Wistron, originally a division of Acer, manufactures computing system products for Lenovo, Sony, Acer, and Dell.
