NPE Sues 53 More Online Retailers

Select Retrieval [NPE] filed two separate suits against 53 online retailers including Amazon.com, Buy.com, Drugstore.com, eBay, Shutterfly, and T-Mobile over a patent related to graphical representation of hierarchical database records.  Select Retrieval has filed five prior suits since June 2011 against over 120 defendants including BarnesandNoble.com, Dell, J&R Electronics, LG, Pantech, Philips, Radio Shack, Staples, Walgreen’s and Wal-Mart. The patents-in-suit were controlled by Lowry Software, Cornus Corporation, Stratia Concepts and Unifi Scientific Advances before being assigned to Select Retrieval in February 2011.  9/15, Southern District of California, 3:2011cv02158; 9/14, District of Oregon, 3:2011cv01104.
