September 9, 2011- Google assigned nine patents to HTC that the company has owned less than a year.  Google acquired four of the patents from Motorola, three from Openwave, and two from Palm.  HTC filed a new complaint against Apple in Delaware on September 7th, asserting the four Motorola patents and amended its complaint with the ITC to add the patents from Openwave and Palm.
