Chalumeau Power Systems [NPE] filed suit against D-Link over a patent related to powering remote devices over Ethernet switches.  Chalumeau filed its first suit in June 2011 against 13 defendants including D-Link.  D-Link was voluntarily dismissed from that case, and Chalumeau’s new filing reasserts the same claims from the original complaint. Chalumeau is a subsidiary of Acacia Research.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to Acacia in April, 2011 by a company called Clarinet Systems.  9/1, District of Delaware, 1:2011cv00771.
