Judge Overturns Oracle Award Amount

September 2, 2011-  A judge has reportedly overturned the $1.3 billion verdict against SAP in the Oracle suit regarding theft of software and trade secret information by a now closed SAP subsidiary, TomorrowNow.  Calling the award, “grossly excessive” the judge set aside the award giving Oracle the choice for either a new trial or to accept a reduced amount of $272 million.
