September 1, 2011- Bloomberg reports that Time Warner Cable’s CNN has acquired Zite, a mobile applications provider that enables customized news content delivery to mobile devices. CNN reportedly paid $20-25 million for Zite. RPX acquired a patent portfolio related to mobile content customization from mobile application provider, Wirkle, in November 2010.
