Vigilos [NPE] filed suit against Dish Network, EchoStar, Monsoon Multimedia, and Sling Media over a patent related to hardware and software that provide mobile access to content streamed from set-top boxes.  This case was transferred from the Eastern District of Texas.  Vigilos is a patent enforcement company managed by Erich Spangenberg and it has filed two other suits since May 2010 against defendants including ADT, Cisco, and Intel. Cisco settled with Vigilos in May 2011.  8/22, Northern District of California, 4:2011cv04117.
