Mobile Telecommunications Technologies, LLC (MTel), the company behind communication service, SkyTel, filed new suits against tablet and smart phone makers Amazon, HTC, LG Electronics, and ZTE and wireless carriers Leap Wireless and T-Mobile. The suits against the two carriers involve three patents related to information transmission over a communications network (5,590,403; 5,659,891; 5,915,210). The case against the manufacturers asserts a second set of patents related to data messages and text notifications (5,754,946; 5,786,748; 5,809,420).
