Voice Domain Technologies Restarts Litigation By Targeting Apple’s Siri Service
Apple’s Siri feature for mobile devices is the subject of a new lawsuit brought by Voice Domain Technologies. The case asserts a patent related to mobile devices with voice command functionality; it was previously asserted by Voice Domain in a 2008 lawsuit against Philips (6281883). Voice Domain’s founder developed the asserted patent and the complaint states that it has been licensed to several companies. RPX reviewed the patent as part of an open market opportunity in August 2013. This is the first litigation Voice Domain has filed since that offering. It previously filed three patent assertion actions between 2008 and 2011. 11/25, District of Massachusetts, 4:13cv40138
