At the end of November Memory Integrity added four new defendants to an assertion campaign begun earlier in the month. Archos, Barnes & Noble, Hisense, and Microsoft are the most recent companies against whom patent 7,296,121 has been asserted. The patent-in-suit relates to a computer system with a plurality of interconnected processing nodes and is involved in more than 20 suits. Memory Integrity alleges that these defendants, like those previously sued, sell products that incorporate infringing multicore processors. Specifically, defendants’ tablets are accused of infringing the patent-in-suit. In previous suits the accused products have been defendants’ mobile devices Memory Integrity acquired the litigated patent from Sanmina in June 2013. The technology was developed by Newisys which merged with Sanmina in October 2012.
