Acacia Reports That More Than 80% of Q3 Revenue Came from Three Licensees

The Q3 earning for Acacia Research reported in its SEC filings revealed that the entity’s revenue is down significantly. Acacia reported revenues of $15.5 million during Q3, down from $34.9 million during the same time period last year. Overall year to date revenue for 2013 is also down, from $184.5 million in the first nine months of 2012 to $115.7 million in that time period for 2013. Acacia also reported a GAAP net loss of $15.7 million, almost three times the $6.6 million reported in Q3 2012. The report notes three licensees account for 84% of the revenue during Q3 out of 24 total new revenue agreements.
