BlackBerry is the first defendant in a suit filed by inventor and attorney John Breckenridge. The suit asserts a patent issued this year that relates to telephone number dialing using stored numbers  (8374335). Blackberry’s Smart Dialing services are accused of infringing the patent-in-suit. Breckenridge is a registered patent attorney with the USPTO but it is unclear where he is admitted to practice in the US.
