Ideative Product Ventures’s (IPV) newest filings continue its campaign related to connectors, naming new defendants CTA Digital, HP, Lindy Computer Connection, Monoprice, Monster Cable Products, Philips, Staples, StarTech.com, Tera Grand, and TigerDirect. The entity began its campaign in May 2012, filing seven litigations. Those suits have all been dismissed and the new cases assert the same patent used previously, which relates to an electronic connector with multiple degrees of freedom to reach other connectors (7,494,343). Defendants all make and/or sell products that are accused of infringing the patent-in-suit. IPV is the patent assertion arm of Ideative Inc, a company that makes and sells connector products. 1/13, Eastern District of Texas, 4:14cv00020 , 4:14cv00021, 4:14cv00022, 4:14cv00023, 4:14cv00025, 4:14cv00026, 4:14cv00027, 4:14cv00028, 4:14cv00031, 4:14cv00032
