January 23, 2014

Chinook Licensing filed five new suits against Facebook, HuluLinkedIn, Pandora,  Project Rover, and Zoosk asserting a single patent related to content search  (7,047,482). Chinook alleges that content recommendations on the defendants’ websites infringe the patent. Chinook launched its campaign in December 2012 against Match.com, Scribd, and StumbleUpon.  Individual inventor, Gary Odom assigned the patent-in suit to FTE Exchange in December 2012. RPX previously reviewed the patent as an open market opportunity (Odom). 1/20, District of Delaware, 1:14cv000731:14cv000741:14cv00075, 1:14cv00076, 1:14cv00077, 1/28, District of Delaware, 1:14cv00105
