Online Shopping Cart Services Still the Subject of eDekka Litigation

February 27, 2014

The campaign against online shopping cart services that eDekka began in November 2013 now includes a second round of filings. Eighteen new cases against companies with online e-commerce services, including Home Depot, L.L. Bean, Toys “R” Us, and Walgreen, have asserted a single patent related to receiving and storing user input (6266674). Similar to the previous round of filings, defendants’ online shopping cart features that store user selections are the accused products. eDekka acquired the patent-in-suit from the inventor in September 2013, shortly before filing its first litigation. 2/24, Eastern District of Texas, 2:14cv00113, 2:14cv00114, 2:14cv00115, 2:14cv00116, 2:14cv00117, 2:14cv00118, 2:14cv00119, 2:14cv00120, 2:14cv00121, 2:14cv00122, 2:14cv00123, 2:14cv00124, 2:14cv00125, 2:14cv00126, 2:14cv00127, 2:14cv00128, 2:14cv00129, 2:14cv00130
