IV’s Financial Services Campaign Stalls: Bank of America Case Partially Dismissed, Two Defendants Have Petitioned for CBM Review

Intellectual Venture’s patent suit against Bank of America was dismissed with prejudice by a North Carolina district judge. Intellectual Ventures I and II (IV) sued Bank of America in August 2013 for alleged infringement of five patents relating to online transactions (7,260,587, 7,603,382, 7,664,701, 8,083,137). The plaintiffs accused Bank of America’s online banking services of infringing IV’s patents and argued that the defendant’s website also induced customers to infringe the patents-in-suit.
