Packet Intelligence Asserts Network Monitoring Patents in New Suit Days After its Original Litigation Ends

Packet Intelligence LLC’s (PI) second patent assertion suit comes almost a year to the day after it filed its first litigation. The new suit (2:14-cv-00252), against Cisco, asserts five of the seven patents that were involved in PI’s first suit. The asserted patents relate to monitoring network traffic to identify and characterize packets into specific types of flows (6,651,099; 6,665,725; 6,771,646; 6,839,751; 6,954,789).
