A year after a district judge invalidated two Implicit Networks, Inc. patents in litigation against F5 Networks, Implicit, LLC sued F5 Networks (5:14-cv-02856) for alleged infringement of a third related patent (8,694,683). The patent-in-suit relates to processing data flows and was invented by Edward Balassanian, who controls both Implicit entities. The complaint accuses F5’s BIG-IP application delivery tools that run on the company’s Traffic Management Operating System, as well as technical support services for all of those products.
