Kodak Receives $43M from Ricoh to Settle IP Disputes

Nearly a year after Eastman Kodak emerged from bankruptcy the company continues to settle intellectual property disputes. Last week Kodak entered into an agreement with Ricoh to settle claims asserted in four legal actions. According to an 8-K filed by Kodak, the settlement agreement includes a one-time cash payment of $43M by Ricoh to Kodak, which has already been paid; dismissal with prejudice of all four legal actions; and the release of any patent infringement assertions made between the companies prior to August 8, 2014.
