Failed OpCo Targets Online Backup Software

Twin Peaks Software filed its second suit in more than two years, this time against IBM. Before it began monetizing its sole patent, Twin Peaks was an operating company offering online backup and data recovery using its Mirror File System (MFS). The MFS patent relates to linking two or more file systems and mirroring their content (7,418,439). The complaint filed against IBM accuses the company’s cloud storage products of infringing the ‘439 patent.
