New NPE Revives Clouding IP Campaign Asserting Former Symantec Patents

Clouding Corp. is reviving IPNav’s Clouding IP campaign, asserting former Symantec patents in suits against Amazon, AT&T, CA Technologies, Citrix, Dropbox, EMC, Google, HP, Rackspace, SAP, and Verizon. Each case asserts at least four of 14 patents, all of which have been previously asserted by Clouding IP against the same group of 11 companies (5,495,607, 5,825,891, 5,944,839, 6,631,449, 6,738,799, 6,918,014, 6,925,481, 6,963,908, 7,032,089, 7,065,637, 7,272,708, 7,254,621, 7,596,784, 7,836,292). Clouding Corp.’s complaints accuse defendants’ cloud computing products and services of infringing the patents-in-suit.
