Concinnitas, LLC and inventor George W. Hindman continue their pattern of filing new litigation at the close of the year. The new defendants in their campaign are Cradlepoint (2:14-cv-01045), D-Link (2:14-cv-01043), HTC (2:14-cv-01050), America, LG Electronics (2:14-cv-01049), Sapido (2:14-cv-01048), and Zoom Telephonics (2:14-cv-01047). Hindman is the named inventor on the patent-in-suit (7,805,542), which generally relates to a mobile unit attachment that restricts access to wireless data based on the recipient’s authorization status. Concinnitas is the exclusive licensee of the ‘542 patent. Mobile devices and routers manufactured by the defendants are accused of infringing that patent, and similar products are accused of infringement in the campaign’s other suits. Mobile device and service provider, including Huawei, Samsung, Sprint, and ZTE, are the main targets of the campaign.
