Acacia subsidiary Saint Lawrence Communications (SLC) filed an infringement suit against LG Electronics (LGE), asserting a group of five patents related to wideband speech and audio compression technology (6,795,805, 6,807,524, 7,151,802, 7,191,123, 7,260,521). SLC alleges that LGE’s HD voice phones—which according to SLC practice the Adaptive Multirate Wideband Standard—infringe the patents-in-suit.
