CAP Co. Ltd. filed two new suits, naming McAfee and Symantec as defendants in its ongoing campaign. Three patents are asserted in the cases, and relate to aspects of network security (RE42,196, RE44,249, 8,544,078). Specifically, the patents-in-suit relate to protection from malware and firewalls, and defendants’ computer security software products are accused of infringement.
