Network-1 Continues to File New Litigation Against Google

December 11, 2014

Network-1 Technologies, Inc.’s second suit of 2014 names the same defendants, Google and YouTube, as its first suit of the year, but asserts a patent not previously seen in litigation (8,904,464). The patent-in-suit, which originated with Network-1, relates to tagging electronic media, and Youtube’s video tagging system is accused of infringing the asserted patent. The same product was accused in Network-1’s previous suit against Google and YouTube, filed in April of this year, which asserted a group of patents also related to identifying and managing electronic media (8,010,988, 8,205,237, 8,640,179, 8,656,441).
