Attorney James Craig Orr filed suit against Canon, asserting a patent that originated with Inmotion Technologies. Orr is the receiver of the patent, which relates to tracking a moving object for capturing handwriting digitally (5,977,958). Digital pens made by Canon’s subsidiary I.R.I.S. Inc. are the accused products in the suit.
