Newly incorporated NPE Hall Data Sync Technologies LLC began its litigation campaign, suing Apple, Box, Dropbox, Google, Microsoft and SugarSync. The cases assert two patents related to synchronizing duplicate copies of a database (6,539,401, 7,685,506). The defendants in the campaign offer cloud storage services that synchronize information across multiple devices, and those services are accused of infringing the patents-in-suit.
