Cascade IP Consulting LLC, an NPE formed late in 2014, has filed its first patent infringement suit. The complaint filed against Kathrein asserts a patent related to an antenna system with a choke reflector for minimizing sideward radiation (5,710,569). A series of Kathrein base station antennas are the accused products. This appears to be the first time the ‘569 patent has been asserted in litigation.
