Continuing its litigation campaign, e.Digital Corporation filed ten new complaints, including against defendants HP, Microsemi, and SMART Modular Technologies. In recent months, the entity has asserted only a single patent and that same patent is asserted in the new cases (5,839,108). The ‘108 patent concerns a removable/interchangeable flash memory used in a handheld device. Flash memory storage products made or sold by defendants are at issue in the new suits, similar to the other accused products in the campaign.
