ProfitStreams filed a complaint for declaratory judgment against Ameranth [NPE] over three patents related to information management software.  ProfitStreams is a licensee of Ameranth’s patents which were found invalid in May 2011 in a suit broght by Ameranth.  ProfitStreams subsequently received an invoice for patent licensee fees due.  According to the complaint, “On June 30, 2011, ProfitStreams provided Ameranth with written notice of its intention not to pay the annual patent license fee invoiced by Ameranth on the grounds that the ‘850 patent, the ‘325 patent, and the ‘733 patent are invalid. 6/30, District of Colorado, 1:2011cv01710.
