Acacia Research subsidiary Saint Lawrence Communications LLC filed suit against Motorola Mobility, Sony, and ZTE, continuing a campaign it began about a year ago. Five patents are asserted in the new suits and in the campaign generally (6,795,805, 6,807,524, 7,151,802, 7,191,123, 7,260,521). The patents relate to voice over IP and LTE audio quality. At issue in the suits are phones with HD voice capabilities that are made by the defendants. Saint Lawrence acquired the patents from VoiceAge Corporation in December 2013.
