Massive Multiplayer Online Games Accused of Infringing Former Boeing Patents

Acceleration Bay LLC, a patent monetization and investment entity, filed its first infringement case (1:15-cv-00228), against Activision Blizzard. The complaint asserts six patents, all of which originated with Boeing (6,701,344; 6,714,966; 6,732,147; 6,829,634; 6,910,069; 6,920,497). The patents relate to various aspects of creating and maintaining a peer-to-peer communication network. At issue in the suits is “World of Warcraft”, Activision’s massive multiplayer online (MMO) game.
