June 30, 2011- A former employee of Intellectual Ventures filed a complaint for damages against Intellectual Ventures (IVM).  The complaint alleges, “In early 2011, other concerns arose as a result of the hiring of a senior executive at IVM, and senior management’s failure to respond to various issues relating to that individual. Shortly after this individual started, Mr. Elston and other members of the acquisition team began to have various concerns about the executive, mostly centered around deal diversion and prioritization, future reduction in finder and broker commissions, asset valuation issues and certain new (and unusual) finder relationships.”
