Microsoft’s Phones Targeted by Inventor-controlled Entity

SMTM Technology, LLC is a newly formed entity, incorporated in California in April 2015. Its first lawsuit targets Microsoft, asserting a patent that relates to a mobile device with an inactive mode option (8,958,853). The suit accuses Microsoft’s Lumia phones of infringing the patent-in-suit. Nick Bovis is the sole inventor of the asserted patent.
