NexusCard, Inc. filed its first and only litigation campaign, targeting retailers Brookshire, CVS, Kroger, and Walgreen. A single patent is asserted in the campaign, 5,924,080, which concerns a computerized coupon redemption system. The patent-in-suit originated with Incredicard, L.L.C., a small business that ceased operations in 2007. The patent was then assigned to NexusCard in May 2007.
